It is bitterly cold as I write this, and it would seem that this winter particularly, we are all desperate for any hints of warmer weather and signs of Spring. They are beginning to peek through for those who look closely...
The first day of Spring has been chosen as the date for the SAW Spring Soiree and I have been asked to spread the word and cordially invite you and your friends to join us. The aim of the evening is to promote Friends of Somerset Art Works and encourage new 'friends' to join.
SAW welcomes the valuable encouragement and the obvious financial support the network of friends provide. The funding enables SAW to sponsor new emerging artists and support projects that help to nurture the visual arts within our rural landscape and help to keep communities vibrant.
As a friend of SAW you will receive regular newsletters, invitations to private views and the annual launch party; you will of course receive the SAW guide hot off the press. Friends will also be entered into a quarterly prize draw winning art works donated by SAW artists. If you are interested in becoming a Friend of SAW do join us on the 21st March at the stunning Woodlands Castle in Taunton. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Sir Benjamin Slade and his wonderful generosity hosting what promises to be a lovely evening.
